Full (legacy)
Viddler’s original Full player offers features, including timed tags and comments (both text and video responses)
- Player Timeline—Shows player position, as well as popup tags and comments
- Timed Tag—In-video tag
- Timed Comment—In-video comment. Can contain text (including links), a video recorded via webcam
- Add comment/tag button—Add a comment or tag to the video timeline
- Share Button—Share a link via email, social networks, or obtain the embed code
Simple (legacy)
The Simple player is designed primarily around just playing the video. The control bar is smaller and does not offer timed tags and commenting.
- Player Timeline—Shows player position. Timed tags and comments are not shown in this player
- Share Button—share a link via email, social networks, or obtain the embed code
Mini (legacy)
Our Mini player showcases your video, getting the player controls out of the way when you start playing.
- Control Bar—Control bar shows only when the mouse pointer hovers over the player frame
- Player Timeline—Shows player position. Timed tags and comments are not shown
- Share Button—Share a link via email, social networks, or obtain the embed code
Chromeless (legacy)
Our Chromeless player allows you to make a custom skin using Adobe Flash, or to control the player using JavaScript. For more information, read our article on Viddler APIs
HTML5 (legacy)
The HTML5 player provides basic playback capabilities to Mobile devices. Currently, the player uses the standard controls built in to the browser/device. The controls appear as the following image on iOS devices:
Customizing Player Controls and Branding
Our Flash players allow you to easily change the control bar colors to match your site, and also provide you the ability to upload your own logo to show on the player. For more information, please see our Customizing Player Branding article.
Customizing Player Interaction
Our legacy flash players can offer a customized interactive experience by adding flashvars to your embed code. Many of the flashvars mentioned in this article are available via our embed tab for each video on your account. Learn more about customized player interaction.
