Yes, Viddler does support SSL for Business accounts and above. Our embed codes should switch for you automatically, but if you’re having trouble, add “https:” for each URL (before the “//”).
Mobile Delivery over SSL is available at additional cost. Please contact support if you would like to add this feature.
However, there are some known limitations with SSL Support:
- Google Chrome (Both Desktop and Mobile variants), as well as Opera and Firefox now detect when a Flash application, such as our Flash player, access resources that are from a non SSL page and will report as mixed/insecure content. If you see this happen when you embed a Viddler video, please let us know!

HTTPS Everywhere browser plugin - HTTPS Everywhere is a useful browser plugin which can force most websites to serve content through a secure (SSL) connection. The plugin is most likely used by savvy (or paranoid) web users. In our experience, not many novice people use the plugin. Therefore, in most cases, you won't need to worry about it affecting the playback of your videos on your viewers' device(s). However, if you have a Pro account (doesn't include playback over SSL on desktop nor mobile devices) and are using the HTTPS Everywhere plugin, then you will experience an error on the player. The quick solution is to disable the plugin. A more thorough solution is to upgrade your account. If you'd like to do the latter, then please contact our team.
